“Ñaque” is a sideboard that gives an aesthetic and functional use to the insect screens. The inspiration comes from the frequent use of this material in the southeast region of Mexico. In this populations the insect screens are known as “miriñaques”.
“Ñaque” es una bufetera que da un uso estético y funcional a los mosquiteros. La inspiración surge del uso frecuente de este material en las regiones del sureste de México. En dichos lugares a esta malla se le conoce de forma coloquial como “miriñaque”.
This sideboard has two sliding doors that incorporate this material instead of glass to allow visibility to the inside. This product mixes solid pinewood with the insect screen.
Esta bufetera funciona con puertas corredizas que en lugar de vidrio incorporan este material para permitir la transparencia hacia el interior del mueble. El producto mezcla madera maciza de pino con la malla mosquitera.
“Ñaque” was selected as a finalist project in the ninth edition of the national furniture design contest (DIMUEBLE).
